1. Subject content and scope of application

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificates of light-burned magnesium powder.

This standard applies to papermaking, chemical industry, building materials, rubber, ceramics, animal husbandry and light-burned magnesia powder for magnesia manufacture.

3 Categories

Lightly burned magnesium powder is divided into nine grades according to chemical composition: QM-96, QM-95, QM-94, QM-92, QM-90, QM-87, QM-85, QM-80, QM-75.

4 Technical requirements

Physical and chemical indicators should meet the requirements of Table 1

5 Test methods

5.1 The chemical analysis method shall be carried out according to GB 5069.

5.2 Use international standard sieves for particle size determination, that is, 120-mesh and 100-mesh sieves with international standard sieves with apertures of 0.125mm and 0.15mm, respectively.

6 Inspection rules

6.1 The weight of each batch of finished products is not more than 120 t.

6.2 Samples for particle size determination shall be sampled before batch formation, and samples for chemical analysis shall be sampled after batch formation. Small bags (25kg) take one incremental sample per 20 bags, and one incremental sample per large bag (1000kg).

After fully mixing the obtained particle size sample, tap 10~20g to measure the particle size. The mixed test samples were reduced to 200g and sent to the laboratory for analysis.

6.3 If a certain chemical composition is unqualified or abnormal in the inspection result, double the number of samples from the same batch of products shall be taken for re-inspection, and the re-inspection result shall be the final inspection result of the batch of products.

7 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate

7.1 When the finished product is stored, it must be stored in a warehouse free from moisture.

7.2 Finished transport equipment must be kept clean, and equipped with rain and snow-proof facilities, and must be strictly protected from moisture and pollution during transportation.

Except for the above stipulations in 7.3, other relevant matters shall be carried out in accordance with GB 5689.
